California and Texas lead with seven selections each after Bronny James is drafted to the Los Angeles Lakers in the second round.

California and Texas finished with the most former high school players selected in the 2024 NBA Draft with both states producing seven.

The Golden State had the most first-round selections with three – Jared McCain (76ers), Yves Missi (Pelicans) and A.J. Johnson (Bucks). Bronny James of Sierra Canyon (Chatsworth, Calif.) will join his father LeBron James on the Los Angeles Lakers after being selected 55th overall.

Texas is headlined by Ron Holland, who was drafted fifth overall by the Detroit Pistons on Wednesday. Holland helped Duncanville (Texas) win the national championship alongside Anthony Black with a 35-1 record in 2021-22.

In total, 20 states had at least one selection.

IMG Academy (Bradenton, Fla.) and Sunrise Christian Academy (Bel Aire, Kan.) were the only schools to have two players selected in the first round. Zach Edey and Terrence Shannon Jr. represented IMG Academy while Matas Buzelis and Dillon Jones played at Sunrise Christian Academy. A third player from Sunrise, Bobi Klintman, went in the second round.

Prolific Prep (Napa, Calif.) also had multiple players selected.
