Softball Preview: Trenton Bulldogs vs. Princeton Tigers        
        
		
             The Trenton Bulldogs are on the road again  on Saturday to play the Princeton Tigers at 9:00  a.m. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.
 Trenton can't be too worried about heading out to take on Princeton: they just beat Milan at home, who had been dominant on their own field up to that point. Trenton came out on top in a nail-biter against Milan  on Thursday, sneaking past  3-1.
 Meanwhile, Princeton had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.7 runs) and they went ahead and made it four on Monday. They skirted past the Hawks  7-6.
  Kelsey Goodin spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered  just two earned  (and four unearned) runs on 16 hits and racked up nine Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't  pitched less than five  innings in nine consecutive pitching appearances.
 On the hitting side,  Mikaylee Henke was  incredible,  going 3-for-4 with three  RBI, a  triple,  and a  triple. The dominant performance also gave  her a new career-high in  batting average.  Evan Boxley was another key player,  scoring three  runs while  getting on base  in all four of her plate appearances.
 Trenton has  been performing  well recently as they've  won five of their last six matchups,  which provided a nice bump to their 7-7 record  this season. As for Princeton, they pushed their record up to 12-3 with the  win, which was their third straight  at home.
 Trenton came up short against Princeton in their previous meeting  on September 9th, falling  6-3. Can Trenton avenge their  defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
