Baseball Recap: Schenectady Comes Up Short

Schenectady extended their losing streak to 13 on Saturday, dropping their season record down to 0-13 in the process. They lost 13-0 to the Mohonasen Warriors. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Patriots of the 13-7 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2023.

As for Mohonasen, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-7 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.8 runs on average over those games.

For Mohonasen's part, Daniel Corsoro was a standout: he got on base in two of his four plate appearances with three runs. The Warriors are undefeated when Corsoro posts two or more runs, but 4-7 otherwise. Tommy Gianatasio was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

As of now, neither Schenectady nor Mohonasen have any future games scheduled.
