Basketball Recap: Pueblo Central Falls to Sand Creek in First Game of Season + How To Watch

Pueblo Central had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They fell 41-34 to the Sand Creek Scorpions on Monday. The Wildcats were not able to make up for their loss to the Scorpions from their previous meeting back in December of 2024.

Despite the defeat, Pueblo Central had strong showings from Alliana Martinez, who posted 14 points in addition to five rebounds and five steals, and Violet Obley, who earned ten points and five steals.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pueblo Central will square off against Mitchell at 6:00 p.m. on the 10th. As for Sand Creek, they will take on Pueblo Centennial at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
