Baseball Recap: Eastern Hancock Comes Up Short

Eastern Hancock lost against Wes-Del back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Royals fell just short of the Warriors by a score of 3-2. The Royals have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Eastern Hancock saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jalen Helderbrand, who went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases. Helderbrand is becoming a predictor of the Royals' success: when he posts at least two stolen bases the team is 2-1 (and 0-8-1 when he doesn't).

Eastern Hancock's defeat dropped their record down to 2-9-1. As for Wes-Del, their win bumped their record up to 7-11.

Eastern Hancock wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 9-1 loss against Heritage Christian on the 10th. As for Wes-Del, they will square off against Alexandria-Monroe at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Warriors are facing the Tigers at the right time seeing as the Tigers are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
