Baseball Recap: East Peoria Raiders vs. East Moline United Panthers
East Peoria posted their closest victory since April 11, 2024 on Saturday. They won by a run and slipped past the East Moline United Panthers 5-4. That's more bragging rights for the Raiders, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.
Connor Watson spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned (and one unearned) runs on nine hits.
At the plate, Auggie Lohnes was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three RBI. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Mason Watson also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen bases of the season.
