Volleyball Recap: Peekskill Takes a Loss

Peekskill was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the Mahopac Wolf Pac, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wolf Pac this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

The final score came out to 25-10, 25-16, 25-16.

Khylee Capozzelli paced Peekskill's offense, picking up six kills. Capozzelli got some help from Nina Ijiogbe and her 11 assists. Capozzelli also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Charly-Rose Greenaway, each putting up two.

Peekskill's defeat dropped their record down to 6-10. As for Mahopac, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-4.

Looking ahead, Peekskill will challenge Carmel at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Mahopac, they will square off against Arlington at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
