Football Recap: Cascade's Win on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to 14

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Cascade had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They enjoyed a cozy 49-34 win over the Gibson Southern Titans. The victory was just business as usual for the Cadets, who after 14 games remain undefeated this season.

Dayton Mink produced another solid performance rushing for 125 yards and three scores. That's the most rushing touchdowns he has posted since back in October. Brady Trebley was in the mix too, providing Cascade with two TDs.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Cascade was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 307 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 250 rushing yards in six consecutive contests.

Cascade didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off four passes before the game was over. Lucas Farmer led the group effort, picking up two of those interceptions all by himself.

Cascade's win bumped their record up to 14-0. As for Gibson Southern, their loss ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-2.

Coming up, Cascade will face off against Fort Wayne Bishop Luers at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Cadets 13.4, the Knights 12.9) so any points scored will be well earned. Gibson Southern does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
