Basketball Recap: Horizon Christian Takes a Loss

Horizon Christian lost against Oregon Episcopal back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Horizon Christian Hawks were beaten by the Oregon Episcopal Aardvarks 53-22. While losing is never fun, the Hawks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oregon basketball rankings (they are ranked 241st, while the Aardvarks are ranked 108th).

Horizon Christian is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-12. As for Oregon Episcopal, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 16-7.

Looking ahead, it'll be a Battle of the Birds when the Hawks take on the Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Horizon Christian is facing Catlin Gabel at the right time seeing as Catlin Gabel is stuck on an eight-game losing streak. As for Oregon Episcopal, they will head out to face off against Westside Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Westside Christian is on a four-game streak of home wins, Oregon Episcopal a three-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court.
