Football Recap: St. Joseph Beats Lakeshore for Their Third Straight Win + How To Watch

St. Joseph had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 32.5 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. Everything went their way against the Lakeshore Lancers as they made off with a 35-14 win. That's more bragging rights for the Bears, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Several Lancers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kaden Griffiths, who threw for 121 yards and two TDs on only nine passes, and also rushed for 95 yards. Isaiah Timmons was another key receiver, picking up 89 receiving yards and one score.

St. Joseph now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Lakeshore, they dropped their record down to 1-4 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. St. Joseph will head out to face off against Portage Northern at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bears will need to watch out since the Huskies have now posted at least 31 points in their last three games. As for Lakeshore, they will venture away from home to challenge Mattawan at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Lancers will be up against the Wildcats' rather soft defense (which has allowed 41 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
