Parma had to endure a five-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-1 win over the Melba Mustangs on Wednesday. That's more bragging rights for the Panthers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Ethan Obenchain spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on three hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Kaden Cole was excellent, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. He also put up a double, which was his first of the season.

Parma's victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 5-9. As for Melba, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-5.
