Baseball Recap: Cheltenham Has No Trouble Against William Tennent

Fans were treated to a battle of the Panthers on Wednesday. Cheltenham put the hurt on William Tennent with a sharp 12-1 win. Cheltenham hasn't had any issues with William Tennent recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

James Smith looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out six over four innings pitched. Those six strikeouts gave him a new career-high.

At the plate, Jack Haugen was a standout: he went 1-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. He has become a key player for Cheltenham: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 2-7 otherwise. Eamon Ivory was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI.

Cheltenham always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .600. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as William Tennent only posted an OBP of .375.

Cheltenham's record is now 4-8. As for William Tennent, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-9.
