Keystone Oaks took a loss when they played away from home on Wednesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They blew past Steel Valley 7-1. The Golden Eagles haven't had any issues with the Ironmen recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Kennadi Smith made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out eight over seven innings pitched. Smith was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two doubles. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played.
In other batting news, Keystone Oaks let Kylie Stahl and Kailyn Brannon run wild. Stahl went 2-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base, while Brannon went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base and two RBI. That's the most RBI Brannon has posted since back in March.
Meanwhile, East Allegheny was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They came up short against McGuffey, falling 11-0.
East Allegheny's loss dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Keystone Oaks, their victory bumped their record up to 7-8.
East Allegheny's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Keystone Oaks hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .332. It's a different story for East Allegheny, though, as they've only averaged .143. Will they be able to contain Keystone Oaks' hitters?
Everything went Keystone Oaks' way against East Allegheny in their previous matchup last Monday, as Keystone Oaks made off with an 18-1 win.
