Charlotte Christian has gone 9-1 against Cannon recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Knights will welcome the Cougars at 7:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Charlotte Christian has three straight victories, Cannon has four straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
On Saturday, Charlotte Christian needed a bit of extra time to put away Metrolina Christian Academy. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-3 win over the Warriors.

Grant Nicholson tossed a big game, striking out eight batters over six innings while giving up just two earned runs off two hits. He has been consistent : he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts any time he's pitched this season.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Hudson Simmons, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and two runs. That home run marked the first that he launched this season.
Meanwhile, Cannon came up short against Charlotte Latin on Friday, falling 9-2. That's two games in a row now that the Cougars have lost by exactly seven runs.
Cannon saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mason Mierzwa, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.
Charlotte Christian's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-4. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Cannon, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-6.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Tuesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Charlotte Christian has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 8.1 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Cannon struggles in that department as they've been averaging 7.1 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Charlotte Christian took their victory against Cannon when the teams last played back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 13-2 score. Will the Knights repeat their success, or do the Cougars have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
