Football Recap: Andrew Moskvich and Treyson Kast Pace Moses Lake Christian Academy/Covenant Christian Defense

Moses Lake Christian Academy/Covenant Christian won the last time they faced Oroville and things went their way on Friday too. The Lions were the clear victors by a 48-22 margin over the Hornets. The result was nothing new for the Lions, who have now won four games by 24 points or more so far this season.

Johnny Ferguson produced another solid effort rushing for 108 yards and a pair of TDs on only 11 carries, while also throwing for 167 yards and two touchdowns. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his fourth straight game with at least 103 rushing yards. Moses Lake Christian Academy/Covenant Christian's leading receiver Treyson Kast was Ferguson's top target yet again, picking up 83 receiving yards and one score, while also rushing for 41 yards and one touchdown.

Moses Lake Christian Academy/Covenant Christian didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Andrew Moskvich and Kast.

Moses Lake Christian Academy/Covenant Christian's win was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-2. Those home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.3 points over those games. As for Oroville, they now have a losing record of 2-3.
