Recap: Perry/Mount Morris vs. Geneseo
Geneseo fell to Perry/Mount Morris 0-2 the last time the two teams met; this time around, they exacted some revenge. Geneseo came out on top in a nail-biter against Perry/Mount Morris, sneaking past 26-24. The tight race was right in line with the MaxPreps state rankings' forecast.
Sophomore Adam Wright, who rushed for 141 yards and 2 touchdowns, was a major factor in Geneseo's success. In fact, with 10 tackles Wright was a force on both sides of the ball. Additional support came from defensive powerhouse junior Evan Salvaggio, who racked up 13 tackles.
The win bumped Geneseo's record up to 2-0. The defeat dropped Perry/Mount Morris' record to 2-1.
Both teams are staying within the conference for their upcoming matches. Geneseo will stay at home next week against Alexander at 7:30 PM. As for Perry/Mount Morris, they will face off against York/Pavilion.
