She has been consistent : she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts any time she's pitched this season. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.
In other batting news, Addisen Goodwin was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. That triple was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Abigail Shaeffer, who scored two runs and stole three bases while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.
South Granville always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .625. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Durham School of the Arts only posted an OBP of .000.
South Granville's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-2. A key ingredient in that success has been their performance when it comes to hits: they averaged an imposing 12 hits in those games compared to only 5.4 in the others. As for Granville Central, their loss dropped their record down to 0-5.
