Basketball Recap: Hudson Ridge Comes Up Short

Hudson Ridge was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They took a blow against the Loudonville Christian Eagles, falling 73-41. The match marked the Thunder Chicken's lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

When it comes to explaining why Hudson Ridge lost, don't look at Julius Brown. Despite the final result, he posted 18 points. Brown's evening made it 19 games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Kiere Franze was another key player, putting up 11 points.

Hudson Ridge's defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 3-5. As for Loudonville Christian, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 10-3.

Hudson Ridge didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 66-52 loss against Fort Edward on the 27th. As for Loudonville Christian, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 59-44 victory against Grace Christian on the 23rd.
