Montebello was handed a heart-breaking two-run loss in their last contest, but they sure didn't let that happen against Alhambra on Friday. The Oilers put the hurt on the Moors with a sharp 9-2 win. This was a revenge game for the Oilers: when they faced off against the Moors on Wednesday, they had to take a 6-4 defeat.

The team relied heavily on Isaiah Cervantes, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Fernando Cruz, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run.

Montebello's victory bumped their record up to 17-8. As for Alhambra, their loss ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 19-5-1.
