Football Recap: Phoenix Isaiah's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Lift for Life Academy over Baylor

The Lift for Life Academy Hawks came up short against the Baylor Red Raiders on Friday and fell 42-30. While losing is never fun, the Hawks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' football rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 48th in Missouri, while the Red Raiders are ranked first in Tennessee).

Several Hawks players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Phoenix Isaiah, who threw for 237 yards and four touchdowns. 81 of those passing yards were hauled in by Tony Woolfolk Jr., who also brought in a receiving touchdown.

Having lost for the first time this season, Lift for Life Academy fell to 2-1. As for Baylor, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Coming up, Lift for Life Academy will welcome Summit Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Baylor, they are taking a road trip to challenge Christ Presbyterian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Red Raiders will be up against the Lions' rather soft defense (which has allowed 33.5 points per match), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
