Basketball Recap: Southwest Christian Comes Up Short

After flying high against St. Stephen's Academy last Friday, Southwest Christian came back down to earth. The Southwest Christian Wildcats fell 59-47 to the Country Christian Cougars on Tuesday. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 59-48 back in December of 2024.

Southwest Christian's loss dropped their record down to 11-7. As for Country Christian, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-6.

Southwest Christian will head out to face off against Open Door Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Open Door Christian Academy will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Southwest Christian surely won't give up without a fight. As for Country Christian, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Trinity Academy at 7:30 p.m. Country Christian is facing Trinity Academy at the right time seeing as Trinity Academy is stuck on a five-game losing streak.
