Volleyball Recap: Rio Americano Raiders vs. West Park Panthers

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Rio Americano had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the West Park Panthers , sneaking past 3-2. The Raiders have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Panthers, too.

Rio Americano was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 23-25, 22-25, 25-22, 15-13.

Camden Kallhoff paced Rio Americano's offense, picking up 23 kills. Kallhoff got some help from Kate Ellis and her 40 assists. Kendall Carey controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Rio Americano pushed their record up to 26-11 with the win, which was their third straight at home. As for West Park, their loss ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 21-9.

As of now, neither Rio Americano nor West Park have any future games scheduled.
