Baseball Recap: San Domenico Find Success

It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but San Domenico ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Marin Academy Wildcats, sneaking past 7-6. The game snapped a strange streak: the last five times these teams have met, it?s been the away team that?s taken home the W.

San Domenico saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Will Rothstein, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Rothstein is becoming a predictor of the Panthers' success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 3-10 when he doesn't). Julian Mackler was another, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one run.

San Domenico's record now sits at 7-10. As for Marin Academy, they dropped their record down to 3-11 with the defeat, which was their seventh straight on the road.
