Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Marion). They blew past the East Clarendon Wolverines 73-47 on Friday. Given the Swamp Foxes' advantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 111th, while the Wolverines are ranked 226th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Marion was led to victory by Charles White Jr and Jameir Legette. White Jr almost dropped a double-double on 18 points and nine rebounds, while Legette almost dropped a double-double on 15 points and nine boards. Irenaeus Gurley was another key player, putting up eight points.
