Softball Preview: Mt. Diablo Red Devils vs. Albany Cougars        
        
		
            
 The Mt. Diablo Red Devils will look to defend their home field  on Friday against the Albany Cougars at 4:30  p.m. Mt. Diablo will be hoping to continue their three-game streak of scoring more  runs each  contest than the last.
 Mt. Diablo took a loss when they played away from home  on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed  on Thursday. They walked away with  an   8-4  victory over Campolindo.
  Lily Quezada was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound,   pitching seven innings while giving up just two earned  (and two unearned) runs off   four  hits. Quezada was also big at the plate,  going 2-for-3 with a  stolen base, a  double,  and  an  RBI.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Dazzelynn Alon, who  went 2-for-3 with three  runs, a  triple,  and  an  RBI.  Ashley Cornejo was another key contributor,  scoring two  runs and  stealing two bases while  getting on base  in all three of her plate appearances.
 Albany lost  12-5 to Salesian College Preparatory last Thursday. Albany has struggled against Salesian College Preparatory recently, as their  game last Thursday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
  Mackenzie Marion was cooking despite her team's loss,   going 3-for-4 with a  home run and three  RBI. Another player making a difference was  Jasmine Araica, who  scored two  runs while going 2-for-4.
 Mt. Diablo's win bumped their record up to 6-11-1. As for Albany, their loss dropped their record down to 7-10.
