Basketball Recap: St. Joseph Comes Up Short

St. Joseph was the 54-53 winner over Gull Lake when they last played one another back in December of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The St. Joseph Bears took a 49-44 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Gull Lake Blue Devils. The defeat leaves the Bears without a win on the season.

St. Joseph's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Gull Lake, with the victory, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 1-3.

St. Joseph will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Mattawan at 7:00 p.m. St. Joseph is facing Mattawan at the right time seeing as Mattawan is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Gull Lake, they will take on Central at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Gull Lake will also cruise into their next match with the timing on their side: Central will have lost four straight heading into Thursday's contest.
