Sherman Oaks CES had won eight straight games and Daniel Truong did his part to make it nine on Thursday. The Knights blew past the East Valley Falcons 38-12 with plenty of help from Truong, who rushed for 161 yards and two TDs on only nine carries, and also picked up 72 receiving yards. He really caught the secondary sleeping when he pulled down a catch that went for 72 yards.

Another player making a difference was Liam Clinger, who gained 171 total yards and a touchdown. He also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, forcing one fumble, making 12 total tackles (2.0 for loss), and defending one pass.

One reason for the win was Sherman Oaks CES' imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for six sacks. It was truly a group effort as Pablo Caballeros, Nick Fuss, and Jacob Ashikian picked up two apiece. Ashikian is also crushing it when it comes to total tackles: he's made at least five every time he's taken the field this season.

Although East Valley took the loss, they still got scores from Marvin Johnson and Zamone Magee.

Sherman Oaks CES' record now sits at 9-0. As for East Valley, they now have a losing record of 4-5-1.

The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Sherman Oaks CES will challenge USC Hybrid at 7:00 p.m. on the 7th. As for East Valley, they will square off against Valley Oaks CES at 7:00 p.m. on the 7th. The Falcons are facing the Vanguards at the right time seeing as the Vanguards are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
