Basketball Game Preview: Providence Academy Lions vs. Winston School of Dallas Eagles

It was a proper cat-fight when Providence Academy faced off against Westwood on Tuesday. Everything went Providence Academy's way against Westwood as Providence Academy made off with a 61-37 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Lions.

Meanwhile, in a tight game that could have gone either way, Winston School of Dallas made off with a 43-42 win over Fairhill. That's two games straight that the Eagles have won by just one point.

Winston School of Dallas' win came from a few key players Providence Academy will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Zane Purdy, who posted 18 points along with five assists and five steals. That makes it four consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Winston School of Dallas' points. Jj Johnson was another key player, dropping a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds.

Winston School of Dallas was working as a unit and finished the game with 14 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in February of 2024.

Providence Academy pushed their record up to 12-12 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.2 points per game. As for Winston School of Dallas, their win bumped their record up to 6-15.
