Basketball Recap: Cedar Valley Comes Up Short

The Cedar Valley Aviators came up short against the West Panthers on Tuesday and fell 63-53. The Aviators have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

West's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tiana Fa, who dropped a double-double with 19 points and 14 boards. With that strong performance, Fa is now averaging an impressive 15.4 points per game. Kylee Falatea was another key player, going 6-for-10 to rack up 19 points in addition to seven assists and six rebounds.

Cedar Valley now has a losing record of 2-3. As for West, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cedar Valley will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Herriman at 2:30 p.m. on the 30th. As for West, they will be playing at home against American Fork at 5:15 p.m. on Friday.
