Softball Game Preview: Thornridge Falcons vs. Crete-Monee Warriors

Thornridge is 0-7 against Crete-Monee since May of 2021 but things could change on Monday. The Falcons will square off against the Warriors at 4:30 p.m. Thornridge has given up an average of 18.3 runs per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Thornridge is headed into Monday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 34th straight game dating back to last season on Thursday. They lost 17-0 to Thornwood.

Crete-Monee let Rich Township stack seven runs on them in the fourth inning on Thursday but luckily Crete-Monee prevailed anyway. The Warriors came out on top against the Raptors by a score of 12-7. The victory continues a trend for the Warriors in their matchups with the Raptors: they've now won six in a row.

Crete-Monee's win bumped their record up to 9-14. As for Thornridge, their loss dropped their record down to 0-15.

Thornridge suffered a grim 37-0 defeat to Crete-Monee when the teams last played back in May of 2024. Can the Falcons avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
