Soccer Game Preview: Denver Christian vs. Forge Christian

The Denver Christian Thunder will take on the Forge Christian Fury at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Denver Christian has three straight wins, Forge Christian has three straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the pitch.

Denver Christian is headed in fresh off scoring the most goals they have all season. Their defense stepped up to hand The Academy a 5-0 shutout on Tuesday. The score was close at halftime, but Denver Christian pulled away in the second half with four goals.

Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for Forge Christian's offense. They fell just short of Stargate School by a score of 1-0 on Tuesday. Bella Brodbeck was hit with a yellow card, which may have had some impact on her (and the team's) ability to make aggressive plays.

Denver Christian's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-4-1. The road wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 11 goals over those three games. As for Forge Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 3-5-2.
