McPherson waltzed into their game on Friday with nine straight wins... but they left with ten. They walked away with an 8-3 victory over the Midwest City Bombers.

Brady Rinker and Cade Strathman made a big impact no matter where they played. Throwing, Rinker pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Strathman struck out 12 batters over six innings while giving up three earned runs off five hits. What's more, Rinker posted three strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March. At bat, Rinker got on base in four of his five plate appearances with two stolen bases, one run, and one double, while Strathman got on base in two of his four plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.

In other batting news, Carter Bengtson was incredible, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, one triple, and two RBI. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played. Adrian Unruh was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.

McPherson's win bumped their record up to 21-4. As for Midwest City, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 17-17.

McPherson and Midwest City should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in their respective state rankings. The Bullpups will take on Great Bend on Friday with a big rank advantage (7 vs. 61). Meanwhile, Midwest City (ranked 123rd) will meet Santa Fe South (ranked 278th) at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
