Softball Recap: Tehachapi Takes a Loss

Tehachapi entered their game against Golden Valley on Tuesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Warriors fell 12-8 to the Bulldogs. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since March 30, 2022, but that streak is no more.

Kayden Grigsby made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-5 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Mya Gil was another key player, going 1-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Tehachapi's defeat dropped their record down to 13-10. As for Golden Valley, they pushed their record up to 16-5 with the win, which was their 15th straight on the road dating back to last season.

While Tehachapi had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:45 p.m. on Thursday.
