Baseball Recap: Ballard Extends Winning Streak to Five

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Ballard had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Shorewood Stormrays 2-1. The win was nothing new for the Beavers as they're now sitting on five straight.

Dylan Wallblom spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on five hits.

On the hitting side, Brady Miailovich was excellent, getting on base in two of his three plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in April.

Ballard's victory bumped their record up to 19-6. As for Shorewood, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 16-9.

As of now, neither Ballard nor the Stormrays have any future games scheduled.
