Recap: Stadium Tigers vs. Bonney Lake Panthers
The Stadium Tigers''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. Their tough 44-20 defeat to Bonney Lake might stick with them for a while. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Stadium in their matchups with Bonney Lake: they've now lost five in a row.
Despite the defeat, Stadium saw an underclassman step up: Darius Sum rushed for 77 yards and a touchdown on only ten carries, and also caught a touchdown.
Stadium's defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their overall record down to 4-4. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 14.3 points per game. As for Bonney Lake, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-3.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Stadium will take on Evergreen at 7:00 p.m. on October 27th. Evergreen will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Washington Rankings (they are ranked 267th, while Stadium is ranked 121st). As for Bonney Lake, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Silas at 7:00 p.m. Silas comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
