Baseball Recap: Huntsville Comes Up Short

Huntsville blew Hoover out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Friday Hoover got their revenge. Huntsville fell just short of Hoover by a score of 5-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Panthers have suffered since April 6, 2024.

Steven Cavaco was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run while going 2-for-3. He also hit a double, marking his first of the season.

Huntsville is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-13. As for Hoover, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 9-9.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Huntsville will challenge James Clemens at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
