West Washington and Clay City squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but West Washington had to settle for second. They came up short against the Eels, falling 7-1. The Senators' loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

West Washington saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Meredith Deaton, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

West Washington's defeat dropped their record down to 23-6. As for Clay City, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-6 record this season.

As of now, neither West Washington nor Clay City have any future games scheduled.
