Basketball Game Preview: Specially Fit Academy Regional Rams vs. The Rock Lions

The Specially Fit Academy Regional Rams will head out on the road to take on The Rock Lions at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Having struggled with eight losses in a row, Specially Fit Academy Regional turned things around against Potter's House Academy on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 70-54 win over the Gladiators.

Specially Fit Academy Regional's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but River Treadwell led the charge by putting up 20 points. Those 20 points gave Treadwell a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Deion Drone, who posted 17 points.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when The Rock took on Trenton on Tuesday. The Rock came out on top against Trenton by a score of 64-56. Given the Lions' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 14th, while the Tigers are ranked 321st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

The Rock has also been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 77.6 points per game. As for Specially Fit Academy Regional, their victory ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-15.
