Volleyball Recap: Bellingham Takes Down Scituate in a Playoff Battle

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Bellingham walked away with it. They put the hurt on the Scituate Sailors with a sharp 3-0 win on Saturday. The victory was nothing new for the Blackhawks as they're now sitting on six straight.

Bellingham's got stronger as the match went on, holding Scituate to fewer and fewer points set over set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-13, 25-12.

Mia Milani paced Bellingham's offense, picking up 14 kills. Milani got some help from Alyssa Rancourt and her 18 assists. Sophia Soto controlled things from the service line, finishing with six aces.

Bellingham's win bumped their record up to 18-2. As for Scituate, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last 11 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-16 record this season.

As of now, neither Bellingham nor Scituate have any future games scheduled.
