Basketball Game Preview: Arvin Bears vs. Golden Valley Bulldogs

The Arvin Bears will challenge the Golden Valley Bulldogs at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Arvin is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Del Oro just ended the team's five-game winning streak on Wednesday. They took a 68-55 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Suns.

Meanwhile, Golden Valley came up short against Mira Monte on Wednesday, falling 65-44. The defeat continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their matchups with the Lions: they've now lost three in a row.

Arvin's loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 17-5. As for Golden Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-21.

Arvin was able to grind out a solid victory over Golden Valley in their previous meeting two weeks ago, winning 49-38. Does Arvin have another victory up their sleeve, or will Golden Valley turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
