Baseball Recap: Burroughs Snaps Four-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

Burroughs won the last time they faced Serrano and things went their way on Thursday too. The Burros blew past the Diamondbacks 12-2. The result was nothing new for the Burros, who have now won 11 matchups by seven runs or more so far this season.

Kanon Schiller was incredible, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. What's more, he posted two hits, the most he's had since back in March. Another player making a difference was Colby Bachman, who went 1-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one double.

They weren't the only ones working in the home run department: Burroughs lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post two or more home runs.

Burroughs' victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 13-11. As for Serrano, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-16.

Coming up, Burroughs will host Lancaster at 3:15 p.m. on Monday. Serrano does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
