            Baseball Preview: Lockport Porters vs. Stagg Chargers        
        
		
        
        
            For the second straight game, Lockport will face off against Stagg. The Porters will venture away from home to  face off against the Chargers  at 4:30  p.m.  on Thursday. The last three games Lockport has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
Lockport is headed into the  contest having just  posted their closest  win since April 2nd on Wednesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with  a  6-4  victory over Stagg. The  win continues a trend for the Porters in their matchups with the Chargers: they've now won four in a row.
 Trace Schaaf tossed a big game,   striking out six batters over  five innings while giving up just one earned  (and one unearned) run off   seven  hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't  given up  more than two  walks any time he's  pitched this season.

 On the hitting side,  Adam Kozak was  excellent,  going 3-for-4 with two  stolen bases and two  RBI. Those  two  stolen bases gave  him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was  Joey DalPonte, who  went 2-for-4 with one  stolen base and one  run.
 Lockport  hit smart and  finished the game with only two  strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least five batters  in five consecutive  games.
 Stagg's loss was  their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season, which  dropped their record down to 2-16. As for Lockport, their victory bumped their record up to 10-5.
