Volleyball Recap: Hemingford Takes a Loss

It was a proper cat-fight when Hemingford took on Morrill on Saturday. The Bobcats took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lions. The Bobcats have struggled against the Lions recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.

The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-17.

Hemingford's offense was headlined by Bailey Sellman and Alexis Stricker, who picked up three kills apiece. Sellman really made an impact as she also led the team in assists with six. Libby Sorensen controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Hemingford's defeat dropped their record down to 14-14. As for Morrill, the win was the 13th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 21-3.

Hemingford wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Hyannis on the 18th. As for Morrill, they have also already played their next match, a 2-1 victory against Hay Springs on the 18th.
