Basketball Recap: Pelham Comes Up Short

Pelham lost against Prattville back in November of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Panthers fell 58-51 to the Lions.

Despite the loss, Pelham still got an impressive performance from Tee King, who shot 50% from the field on her way to 32 points and six rebounds. King's evening made it six games in a row in which she has scored at least 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ally Barfield, who posted six points.

Pelham has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-3 record this season. As for Prattville, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-2.

Coming up, Pelham won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Mountain Brook at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Panthers will be up against the Spartans' rather soft defense (which has allowed 55 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Prattville, they will take on Stanhope Elmore at 5:45 p.m. on Thursday.
