Recap: Seneca Bobcats vs. Crescent Tigers
In what's become a running theme this season, the Seneca Bobcats gave their fans yet another huge victory on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Crescent with a sharp 69-49 win. Winning may never get old, but Seneca sure is getting used to it with their third in a row.
Seneca had a senior duo take command as Jalen Craig scored 19 points along with eight rebounds and Cam O'kelley scored 22 points along with eight rebounds. O'kelley is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Jermaine Miller, who scored five points along with 14 rebounds and five assists.
When it comes to explaining why Crescent lost, one person who can't be blamed is Brody Linker. Despite the final result, he scored 28 points along with seven rebounds and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Jasyiah Davis, who scored seven points.
Seneca's victory was their ninth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-4. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.3 points per game. As for Crescent, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost nine of their last ten games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-12 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Seneca will face off against Pendleton at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Pendleton focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 11 on Tuesday. As for Crescent, they will head out on the road to take on Walhalla at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Walhalla is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.
