Soccer Game Preview: Florence vs. Vicksburg + Official Tickets

For the first time this season, Florence will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will head out to face off against the Vicksburg Gators at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Florence's favor is that they have posted at least four goals in their last five matches.

Florence's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed last Thursday. They blew past Brookhaven 7-0. The win continues a trend for Florence in their matchups with Brookhaven: they've now won nine in a row.

Florence hit Brookhaven with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Kadie Carroll (3), Jordyn Quick (2), Emma Marchant, and Delaney Cannon.

Meanwhile, after soaring to eight goals the game before, Vicksburg was a bit more limited in their matchup on Monday. They came up short against Murrah, falling 3-0.

Vicksburg's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Florence, their victory bumped their record up to 6-2.

Everything went Florence's way against Vicksburg in their previous meeting back in November of 2021, as Florence made off with a 4-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
