Softball Preview: Mt. Hope Huskies vs. Lincoln Lions

The Mt. Hope Huskies will head out on the road to square off against the Lincoln Lions at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Mt. Hope is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak.

Mt. Hope lost 21-7 to Scituate on Thursday.

Ava Waddell made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs while going 2-for-3. Julia Allen was another key contributor, scoring two runs while going 1-for-2.

Meanwhile, Lincoln can now show off five landslide victories after their most recent match on Friday. They blew past Barrington 18-6.

Lauren Cipriano made a big impact no matter where she played. She pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Cipriano has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two hits in four consecutive pitching appearances. Cipriano was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with a home run, four runs, and three RBI.
