Softball Game Preview: National Trail Blazers vs. Valley View Spartans

The National Trail Blazers are taking a road trip to challenge the Valley View Spartans at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. National Trail has now lost seven straight dating back to last season, leaving the team hunting for their first win since the 22nd.

National Trail lost 11-1 to Fort Recovery on Monday.

National Trail saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Morgan House, who scored a run while going 1-for-1.

Meanwhile, Valley View earned a 10-6 win over Carroll on Thursday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Spartans.

Valley View let Lily Bell and Reese Riley run wild. Bell went 3-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base, while Riley scored four runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-4. Those four runs gave Riley a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jillian Shell, who scored a run while going 1-for-4.

Valley View now has a winning record of 2-1. As for National Trail, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-3.

National Trail couldn't quite finish off Valley View in their previous matchup back in March of 2024 and fell 5-3. Can National Trail avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
