Southampton had won four straight road games and Makayla Johnson did her part to make it five on Thursday. Everything went the Indians' way against the Sussex Central Tigers as they made off with a 3-0 victory thanks in part to Johnson, who had 18 aces and five assists. She is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served two or more in each of the last eight games she's played.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Southampton took every set by at least 17 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-5, 25-5, 25-8.

Southampton's win bumped their record up to 10-7. As for Sussex Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-8.
