Softball Recap: Memorial Drops Highest Score of Season Against Dickinson

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Memorial). They blew past the Dickinson Rams 27-12 on Monday. Considering the Tigers have won 12 contests by more than nine runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Memorial has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.5 runs over those games. As for Dickinson, they dropped their record down to 3-11 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight at home.

Memorial does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Dickinson, they will take on University Academy Charter at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Generals have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 20 runs per game on average), something the Rams will no doubt try to take advantage of.
